As a Canadian public producer and distributor of audiovisual works, we firmly believe that we have a responsibility to discover new filmmakers in all regions of the country and support their development.

Nelson Civic Theatre Society has the mission to protect, preserve and improve The Civic Theatre, offering it as a public multi-use facility for film screenings primarily, and for other artistic, educational and community-building programs and events for the benefit of the general public; and to advance the public’s education and appreciation of the arts through our presentations and programming, including lectures, workshops, courses and seminars on topics related to film and digital media.
