Learn the art of lighting for video with Colin Burwell, a seasoned filmmaker with nearly 20 years of professional experience. This hands-on, three-hour workshop is designed to enhance your understanding of video lighting, from mastering the essentials to exploring creative possibilities.
Exploring Lighting Gear: Get hands-on experience with a variety of video lights, from powerful softboxes to small accent lights.
Lighting Interviews: Discover techniques to light interviews thoughtfully for a polished, professional look.
Creating Visual Styles: Experiment with light positioning to achieve a range of styles and moods.
Using Colored Lights: Add vibrancy to your scenes by incorporating colored lights.
Understanding Color Temperature: Learn the theory of color temperature and its impact on your shots.
Throughout the session, Colin will demonstrate how he approaches lighting for different scenes, from simple setups to more complex arrangements. You’ll also get the chance to film shots under various lighting scenarios and discuss lighting recommendations for beginners.
