Thanks to all who attended the workshops over the last year and a bit.
We had an stellar turnout to the final workshop last week: 💡 Lighting for Video 💡 Momentum Masterclass. Big thanks to 🎬 Filmmaker 🎬 Colin Burwell (@emptycupmedia) who lead us through a series of techniques to ramp up everyone’s skills and expand the group’s understanding of lighting for the screen.
Colin shared “What a lit experience! I loved seeing all the eager eyes, hands writing notes, and nods of agreement as I tinkered with all kinds of video lights at the KSBI Lighting Workshop.
I started with a small setup and explained how we can do a lot with very little, and then I slowly added more lights and modifiers to show the difference between a $200 lighting set up and a $2,000 lighting set up. It was a cozy studio space we worked in, but that was alright because most of us are used to setting up lights and doing interviews in confined spaces.
Thank you to everyone who showed up and for bringing your questions and project ideas to make for an organic conversation about lights.”
